Exterior window and door perimeters need a silicone sealant or caulk selected for rain, ultraviolet exposure, movement and adhesion across dissimilar materials. WR550 is the primary Vesta recommendation for compatible exterior aluminum, uPVC, masonry and weather-exposed frame joints after substrate and joint-design review. CR210 remains a secondary option only for dry, paintable interior finish gaps around trim.

Use CR210 where the finished joint must be painted and remains in a dry interior environment. Use WR550 for exterior weather sealing and moving perimeter joints. Do not substitute a paintable acrylic for a weather-exposed movement joint simply to match the wall finish.
